Robert "Bob" Pace

A celebration of life will be held for Robert (Bob) Pace on Saturday, January 13,  2024 at Madison Street United Methodist Church Chapel. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with services at 11:00.   Reverends Harriet Bryan and Valerie James will officiate.

Robert H. (Bob) Pace –passed peacefully on January 5, 2024. He was born in the Kirkwood community of Montgomery County Tennessee August 6, 1927, to the late William Norris and Clara Hunt Pace.  Bob is preceded in death by his wife of seventy-two years, Cecile Pace, brother William Norris Pace, Jr. and sisters, Mary Evelyn Wheeler and Mildred Presher.  Survivors include his daughter, Susie Perry, Clarksville, TN and son Bobby (Cindy) Pace, Evans, GA, grandson, Ben (Nicole) Perry, granddaughters, Brooke (Logan) Quertermous, Whitney (Mack) Acree, and great granddaughter, Harper Joy Perry.

He was a retired farmer and a member of the Madison Street United Methodist Church.

After attending Kirkwood School, Bob graduated from Clarksville High School in 1944.

Upon returning from the army in 1948, he attended Austin Peay and operated the family farm, Maplecrest Hereford Farm which is now certified as a Century Farm in Tennessee.

At Austin Peay, he met the love of his life, Cecile Lacy from Lafayette, KY.  They were married on June 29, 1950.

As an active member of the agricultural community, he served on the boards of the Montgomery County Farmer’s Co-op, Montgomery County Farm Bureau and the Montgomery Livestock association and was an active leader in 4-H.  He received numerous awards for agriculture and conservation practices throughout his career.

The family would like to thank the staff of Arcadia Senior Living for the love and compassion shown to our parents during their time there.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Madison Street United Methodist Church for the Tom Perry Landscaping fund.
