Robert Blanton

Robert Wayne Blanton, 63, Clarksville, died Sunday, October 19, 2008, at his home. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Bro. Byron Dumas officiating. Burial will be in Blanton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. He was born August 11, 1945 in Harlan County, KY, son of the late John D. Blanton and Virgie Huff Blanton. Mr. Blanton was a retired painter and a Baptist. He is survived by his wife Gay Wear Blanton; sons Gary Wayne Blanton and Robbie Blanton; daughter Angie Wallace; brothers John Wesley Blanton, Raymond Blanton, and Ralph Blanton; sisters Oma Hawkins and Faye Miller; and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jackie Travis, Scott Wear, Joe Mallory, John Stevens, Danny Huff, and Tommy Huff.
