Robert O. Black, 75, Clarksville, died Saturday, April 18, 2009, at his home. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at McReynolds-Nave-Larson Chapel with Rev. James Greene officiating. Burial will be in Lone Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born August 31, 1933 in Montgomery County, son of the late Willie Black and Evie Baggett Black. Mr. Black was retired from Acme Boot and was a member of Slayden Emmanuel Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Harry Black and Lester Black and sisters Retha Black, Jenny Ruth Yarbrough, and Ester Lee Rye. He is survived by his wife, Martha (Jean) Jones Black, daughters Sandra D. Diaz and Kathy (Brian) Demo, all of Clarksville, sisters Aline (Samuel) Self of Cumberland Furnace and Lela (Romie) Averitte of Erin, six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Greg Self, Jason Crenshaw, Kenny Brown, Chad Brooks, Brandon Straw, and Darrell Blackard.
