Robert Ray Black, age 74 of Southside, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at his home.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Ferrell and Rev. James Black officiating. Burial will follow at Millers Chapel Cemetery in Charlotte, TN.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Robert was born on August 3, 1940 in Southside, the son of the late Henry Ray Black and Lucille Matthews Black. He was a Vietnam Veteran.
He is survived by his brothers, William (Mary) Black and Rev. James (Wanda) Black; sisters, Ann Newsom and Nell (Royce) Newell.
Pallbearers will be William Black, Bobby Black, Russell Black, Matthew Brown, Gerald Newsom, and Danny Newsom.
His family would like to express a very special thank you to his caregivers, Teresa, Mike, and Matthew Brown.
