Robert "Benny" Elliott

Robert “Benny” Elliott, age 78 of Erin, TN, passed away June 4, 2023 at Houston County Community Hospital.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Stephen Cathey officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery with full military honors.

The Elliott family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday afternoon.

Benny entered this life on August 29, 1944 in Erin, TN, son to the late Arkley and Aretas Elliott. Benny faithfully served his country in the United States Army and lived a very entertaining life. Benny had the opportunity to travel as a tour bus driver for many musical artist and bands. After retirement, Benny spent his time building and riding his trike motorcycles. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Benny was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherri Elliott; brother, Freddie Elliott; grandsons, Evan Elliott, Tyler Elliott; and great-grandson, Knox Elliott.

Survivors include his loving children, Bobby Elliott, Crystal (Bryan) Dennis; brothers Ray Elliott, Jerry (Debbie) Elliott; grandchildren, Brittney Cooksey, Taylor Dennis, Abby Dennis; great-grandchildren, Mason Elliott, Raelynn Cooksey; niece and nephew, Kelly Petre, Brian “Bc” Elliott; and great-nieces and nephews, Samuel Petre and Alex Petre.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
