Richard Hunter “Rick” Binkley II, age 56 of Clarksville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at his residence.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Monday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Rick was born on February 11, 1958, the son of Richard “Dick” Binkley and JoAnne Mackens Binkley. He worked as an electrical project engineer in Nashville and Texas, and was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church. He served with the Samaritan’s Purse in Sudan and Kosovo.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Kimberly “Kim” Binkley Crist; maternal grandparents, Rev. and Mrs. R.B. Mackens; paternal grandparents, Emanuel and Ella Binkley.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Susan Burress Binkley; sons, Matthew Hunter of Clarksville, TN, Morgan Reid, U.S. Navy Missile Tech of Kings Bay, GA, and Charles Jacob “Jake” of Clarksville.
Pallbearers will be Vince Boyd, Donnie Binkley, Eddie Combs, Bill Thompson, Donald Mackens, and David Ussery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association at P.O. Box 6051 Albert Lea, MN 56007.
