Richard Stone, Sr.

Richard Elbert Stone, Sr., 84, Clarksville, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Gateway Medical Center. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Bro. Caleb Samson officiating. Burial will follow at McIntosh Cemetery, Tennessee Ridge. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 12 noon until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Richard was born May 8, 1927 in Stewart County, Tennessee, son of the late Edgar Thomas and Lena Pearl Cherry Stone. He was preceded in death by his wife Emma Gene McCauley Stone and his brother, Thomas Stone. He retired from Ft. Campbell, Kentucky as a Refrigeration/Air Conditioning Supervisor, was a member of Barker's Mill Church of Christ, was a U.S. Navy WWII Veteran, and was a 32nd Degree Mason.
Survivors include his son Richard Stone, Jr. (Pat) of Dickson, daughter Donna Bush (Terry) of Clarksville, sister Mrs. Aaron Mann of Indian Mound, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two nieces, and three nephews.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
