Richard Earl "Rufus" Jackson, 80, Clarksville, passed away Monday, June 11, 2012 at his residence.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. John Mark Thomas officiating.
Mr. Jackson was born February 9, 1932 in Robertson County and was the son of the late Ewing G. and Nellie Mildred Seay Jackson.
He was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church, a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and later retired from Clarksville Gas and Water and Morris Wall Construction.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janie Jackson; sons, Richard E. "Ricky" (Ramee) Jackson, William G. Jackson, all of Clarksville; brother, Michael Jackson, Florida; sisters, Shirley Lorch, Missouri, Mary Jo Nicholson, Clarksville; grandson, Eric Jackson; and three great-grandchildren.
