Richard Bishop - 1931 Richard Carlton Bishop, 78, Sevierville, died Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at Sevierville,Tn.. The funeral will be held at 2pm Sunday at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with Bro.Robert Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pm until 6pm Saturday and from 8am until service Sunday at the funeral home. Nave Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Richard Carlton Bishop went to join his wife of 50 years to walk the streets of Heaven on January 13, 2010. He was 78 years old.Carlton served in The US Navy during the Korean Conflict and studied mechanical engineering at the University of Tennessee; working as an engineer for more than 45 years. He was a loving and dedicated husband and father.Preceding him in death were his parents, William Edward Bishop and Mary Lou Hankins Bishop and his wife, Janette Beeler Bishop.Survivors include his daughter, Linda Bishop; sons, Jimmy and Dave Bishop; brothers and sisters-in-law, Theo and Mildred Bishop; Randall and Ruth Bishop, aunts, Ethel Hagler and Mary Clark; many cousins, nieces and nephews and closest friends Bob and Lou Schmittou.
