Reverend Sidney Monroe Stine, 87, Clarksville, went to be with his Lord, Thursday, October 7, 2010. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Forest Street United Methodist church with Reverend Joe Moore and Reverend Paul Tramel officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Saturday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel and from 1 p.m. until the hour of service Sunday at the church. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Rev. Stine was born June 4, 1923 in Ortonville, MI and was the son of the late Edwin and Emma Margaret Stine. In addition to his parents, Rev. Stine was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, wife, Ruth Baggett Stine, and his daughter, Carol Grace Stine. Rev. Stine was a retired United Methodist minister serving several churches in Illinois, Indiana, and Tennessee. He received his bachelor's degree from Austin Peay State University and a Masters of Divinity from Vanderbilt University. Rev. Stine is survived by his son, David (Karen) Stine of Clarksville and granddaughter, Beth (Chad) Bullock of Champions Gate, Florida, and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Fellowship Class at Forest Street United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forest Street United Methodist Church, 416 Church Street, Clarksville, TN 37040 or the charity of your choice.
