Rev. Elton Wilson Rev. Elton Wilson, 85, Clarksville, died Thursday, October 11, 2007, at Montgomery Care & Rehab. The funeral will be held at 10 AM Tuesday at Bible Baptist Church with Revs. Emmett Sexton and Wallace York officiating. Burial will be in Beulah Baptist Church, Fancy Farm, KY. Visitation will be from 5 PM to 9 PM Monday at Funeral Home and from 9 AM to 10 AM Tuesday at Church. A Commital Service will be held 3:30 PM Tuesday at Beulah Baptist Church. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Rev. Wilson was born July 26, 1922 in Beulah, Ky the son of the late Walton Kyle Wilson Lynn Wooley Wilson. He was also preceeded in death by his first wife Rachel Dean Wilson, and a son Galen Ray Wilson. For 53 years Rev. Elton Wilson pastored churches in western Kentucky and Tennessee. This included twenty-nine years at Bible Baptist Church, Clarksville, TN . He served as President of Clarksville Baptist College and Bible Baptist Academy, both sponsored by Bible Baptist Church. He made numerous trips to foreign countries to support foreign missionaries. He organized and served as tour host on twenty-two trips to the Holy Land and Egypt. He attended Austin Peay State University and received a Doctor of Divinity from Landmark Baptist College. His wife Norma Jean Wilson, son, Elton Leon (Bettye) Wilson of Clarksville, Donnie Ross Wilson, Fancy Farm, KY Daughter in law Mrs. Galen Ray (Lois) Wilson of Lexington, KY, sisters, Lorene Burgess and Marie Courtney both of Fancy Farm,KY , Mary Etherton of Warren,MI fifteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Harold Ellis, David Newberry, Tony Newberry, Charles Baggett, Bobby Coleman, Ronnie Boyd, David Perigo and Jerry Bush. Memorials may be made to the Rev. Elton Wilson Memorial Library Fund of Bible Baptist Church, 3102 Prospect Circle, Clarksville, Tn 37043.
