Rev. Durrwachter

Rt. Rev. Henry Clark Durrwachter, 69, Clarksville, died Friday, July 4, 2008, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Burgess, Rev. Bill Corley, and Rev. Bill Bryant officiating. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 12 noon until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. The remains are to be cremated. He was born October 8, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri, son of Henry W. Durrwachter and Florence Clark Durrwachter. Mr. Durrwachter was a member and Associate Pastor at Community Church for 32 years, had preached for 46 years total, taught math at Clarksville High School for over 25 years, and served as Bishop in the Southern Episcopal Church. He is survived by his wife Linda Keyes Durrwachter and his step-son Robert Allen Towner, both of Clarksville.
