Reuben Barnes

Mr. Reuben Daniel Barnes, age 86 of Tennessee Ridge, TN, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
A celebration of his life will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Rev. Spencer Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
The Barnes family will receive friends on Monday from 4:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday afternoon.
Reuben entered this life on September 24, 1930 in Stewart County, TN, son to the late William and Ella Schmidt Barnes. Reuben was a member of the Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, Reuben was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Barnes, and son Danny L. Barnes.
Survivors include one son, David R. Barnes; one daughter, Dianna Barnes Stavely; brother, William E. Barnes; sisters, Dorothy Inez Dyer, Wilma G. Montague; five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Grandson and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Houston County or Stewart County Library.
