Ret. TSgt. (Air Force) Henry Ford Thomas, age 90 of Clarksville, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Tennessee State Veterans Home.
Celebration of Life will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial with U.S. Air Force Honors will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m. and again on Tuesday, from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Henry was born on May 3, 1930 in Rome, Georgia to the late James David Thomas, Sr. and Hattie Holsomback Thomas. He was a Retired Veteran of The United States Air Force, receiving the Airman’s Medal for Bravery in 1963. Henry was also a retired truck driver for Paul Arpin.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Ethel Thomas; siblings, James David, Jr., Doris, Dora Lee, Ellis, Winston, and Lamar.
Survivors include his daughters, Linda (Rollis) Newberry, Brenda Zimmerman, Patricia Thomas, Robin (Bobby) Baskin, Kim Thomas, and Tiffany (Paul) Rock; grandchildren, Mike (Kristy) Zimmerman, Charles (Amy Beth) Zimmerman, August Thomas, Amy Zimmerman, Haley Thomas, Henry Baskin, Kaleb Thomas Hughes, and Matthew Rock; great-grandchildren, Michael, Ashley (Patrick), Cody, Jazmine, Cole, Kyah, Graycie, Brayden, Gracin, Treston, Brylee, Tamea, Chandler, and Ryker; great-great-grandchildren, McKinley, Rhett, Briar, Raelynn, and one on the way. Henry is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Frances Thomas and Wilma Thomas; special niece, Carolyn Tellegen.
