Ret. Sgt. Christopher Duke Ammons, age 73, of Clarksville, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021, at Spring Meadows.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Christopher entered into this life on April 18, 1948, in Norfolk, VA to the late Col. (Ret.) Benjamin and Esther Randolph Ammons. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where he served as an usher for years. Christopher served his country during the Vietnam War completing two tours during which time he wrote letters every day for two years that are now on display at the Tennessee State Archives along with his personal memorabilia. He was passionate about photography and was known as a history buff. He was employed by Vulcan following his military service.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Randy Ammons.
He is survived by his brother, Tim (Carol) Ammons.
