Regina Hayes

Regina “Carol” Craig Hayes, age 69, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2023, at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Sister Martha Joye Sample officiating. Regina’s family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.

Carol, as she was known back home in West Virginia, entered this life on February 14, 1954, Clendenin, WV, to the late Raymond and Ruby White Craig. Growing up in Clendenin, she was the youngest of 13 children, survived by three. She lovingly provided and prepared the home for her family and was a proud Army Wife to the late James William Hayes. Regina also worked outside the home in many capacities including as a Security Guard for most of her working years. Regina was passionate about ceramics and loved her Hallmark Channel programs and listening to gospel music. She also adored time spent with all her family and grandbabies. Regina attended Wilee’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children, Jason Hayes (Kimberly), Craig Hayes (Ashley), Jasmine Whittier (Felando), and Regina Ferguson (Ravon Boone); sisters, Rita Kittner, Naomi (Joe) Gwinn, and Rosalind (John) Drake; sisters-in-law, Jeannie Craig and Cindy Hayes. Also survived by grandchildren, Tristan Ferguson, Kyle Ferguson, Shawn Ferguson, Aaron Ferguson, Madison Pruitt, Oliver Hayes, Valena Le, Tucker Hayes, Avalon Whittier, and Carson Whittier; two great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
