R.V. Pulley, 87, Clarksville, died Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Frank Webb and Rev. Barry Pulley officiating. Burial will be in Lewis Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home. He was born January 7, 1922 in Stewart County and was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Lula Harris Pulley Sr.; wife, Nellie Pulley; brothers, Alton Pulley, Leo Pulley and Jim Pulley. Mr. Pulley was a member of Scotts Chapel Freewill Baptist Church and Bethel Baptist Church. He was the retired owner of R.V. Pulley Tire and Auto Parts. He is survived by his daughter, Patsi Miller, Clarksville; brother, Paul (Anne) Pulley Jr., Clarksville; sisters, Dottie (Rick) Hart, Ramona, CA, Mae Pici, Sun City, CA, Jennie (Ted) Dolewski, Palatine, IL, Alma (Bill) Lewis, Cunningham, Betty Lahman, Clarksville; his dog, Mac, sister-in-law, Lydia Pulley, Dover; grandson, Patrick (Nancy) Miller, Clarksville; step-grandson, Robert (Indy) Miller, Clarksville; step-great-grandchildren, Mary-Megan, Chase and Anna Cris Miller, Connor and Patrick Milligan. Nephews and friends will serve as pallbearers.
