Raymond Lloyd Phelps, 89, Clarksville, died Saturday, December 20, 2008, at Montgomery Care & Rehab. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. James Shepherd & Rev. Jody Kilburn officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Stewart County. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.
McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born July 23, 1919 in Paducah, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents, Randolph T. Phelps and Clara Boulnois Phelps. Mr. Phelps was a member of First Baptist Church of Woodlawn. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Elizabeth Parker Phelps, Clarksville; son, Dennis Phelps, Santa Barbara, CA; grandchildren, Lisa Michelle Phelps, Ashley Lynne Phelps and Donnis Brian Phelps.
