Raymond George `Ray` Weinberg III, 52, Guthrie, KY, died Monday, January 5, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. David Mackens & Rev. Gale Bell officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Guthrie, KY with military honors. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 12 noon until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home.
McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born February 29, 1956 in Augsburg, Germany and was the son of Raymond G. Weinberg and Carole Smith Fitzmorris. Mr. Weinberg, a program manager for E.D.I.S. at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, was a member and a deacon of First Christian Church in Guthrie, and a U.S. Army VietNam Veteran. Other than his father and step-mother, Sherry, of Guthrie, and his mother of Covington, LA, he is survived by his wife, Nita Killebrew Weinberg, Guthrie; son, Raymond G. Weinberg IV, Monterey, CA; daughter, Makenzie Weinberg, Guthrie; brothers, Edward Weinberg, VA, Craig Fitzmorris, LA; sisters, Shelly Mosley, Elkton, Leslie Fitzmorris, LA, and Beth Weinberg Miller, Henderson, KY. Pallbearers will be Chuck Killebrew, Keith Killebrew, Wesley Bossard, Glen Miller, Ian Miller, Ed Weinberg, John Moseley, Ben Moseley and Rick Chapman.
