Randy Hinson

George Randall “Randy” Hinson, age 68 of Erin, TN, passed away June 5, 2023 at Horizon Medical Center, Dickson, TN.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2023 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Stephen Cathey officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

The Hinson family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Friday afternoon.

Randy entered this life on April 22, 1955 in Erin, TN, son to the late George Hinson and Ann Nichols Hinson.  Randy worked as a pipefitter and was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 572 for over 48 years.  After retirement, Randy spent his time with his son building and restoring antique cars and trucks, traveling many miles to car shows, swap meets; their yearly camping trip to the Redneck Rumble, and spending countless hours together forming a rare and priceless bond.  The two of them were the best of friends.

Randy leaves behind his high school sweetheart, married 44 years, Susan Patterson Hinson; his son, Randall Hinson; his special “daughter”, Kniki Schmidt; brother, Ben Graham (Wendy); sisters, Debbie Fox (Kenny Breeden), Kristie Parker (Bret); and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Randall Hinson, Ben Graham, Justin Fox, Greg Henry, Mike McMillan, Terry Bruce, Tom Sawyer, Richard Rohm, and Sidney Warden.  Honorary pallbearers will be David Patterson, Derrick Nichols, and Tony Nichols.
