Ramsis Makkar

Ramsis Awad Yousif "Mike" Makkar, age 82, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 12 noon Friday, July 29, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. His family will receive friends on Thursday, July 28th from 4 to 6 p.m. at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home.
Ramsis entered this life on February 16, 1940, in Desouk, Egypt to the late Awad Yousif Makkar and Margrett Guirguis Hanna Makkar. While in Egypt, Mr. Makkar served as a Prosecutor and a Judge. Shortly after his move to the United States in 1975, he became a small business owner, operating Clark Delicatessen in Cleveland, Ohio for 40 years. Mr. Makkar worked hard to renovate and beautify the area he lived and worked in the City of Cleveland and was once recognized for his hard work and accomplishments by the City government there. He was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Ignatius of Antioch Catholic Church in Cleveland, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Katty R. Makkar.
Survivors include his loving wife, Shukria Soliman Makkar; grandchildren, Mark Eric Sine (Cami), and Cassie Rebecca Erica Schwartz (Brian), and five great-grandchildren.
