Ramona McMahill Stephens, age 87 of Clarksville left this life and began her life in heaven, December 6, 2015.
Ramona was born on October 1, 1928 to the late Joe McMahill and Oma McMahill in Wapello, Iowa. She had one sibling, a brother Donnie who died at 2 years of age.
She married her high school sweetheart, Hallie L. Stephens, on August 11, 1945. They were blessed to have shared 50 loving years before death parted them. Together they raised their four children; Jeff, Joe, Jimmie and Terrene (Cissy).
Mrs. Stephens was the book keeper and later retired as store manager of the Walgreens Drug Store on Riverside Drive and Ft. Campbell Blvd. at a time when women seldom made management. She was a member of Pardue Memorial Freewill Baptist Church. She walked in Faith everyday of her life.
A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday December 9, 2015 at 1 p.m. at McReynolds – Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Len Scott officiating with burial following at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday December 8, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Wednesday 11 a.m. until the hour of the service at the Funeral Home.
She will be greatly missed by her surviving children; Jeff Stephens and wife Donna, Jimmie Stephens, and Cissy Stephens Copeland and husband Keith. Her grandchildren of whom she was so proud of; Sherry, Scott, Kori, Mary Pat, Hannah, Seth, Cayce, Jenna, Sarah, Morgan and Summer. She had 10 great Grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren, and many friends all across the country from her and her husband’s military stations. She loved living in different places and cultures.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pardue Memorial Freewill Baptist Church or the Humane Society. In honor of her beloved dog Roo Roo.
