Ramie Simpson

April 14, 1920 — November 8, 2016

Ramie Lucille Wallace Simpson went to be with the Lord on November 8, 2016. Born on April 14, 1920, and raised in Stewart County, Tennessee, along with 9 brothers and sisters, by her father and mother, Christopher Columbus Wallace (1866-1971) and Vesta Lou Morris (1895-1994). She married Henry Waldon Simpson (1913-1970), a World War II veteran, on April 23, 1941. She is survived by her three daughters – Joyce Norfleet (Don) in Clarksville; Deloris Simpson of Murfreesboro; Vivian Clements (Mike) of Clarksville. Ramie was retired from Houchens Grocery store.
Her grandchildren: Darin Norfleet (Melinda), Jared Norfleet (1968-1984), Teresa Norfleet, Dawn Mayo (Barry), Christy Lovinski (Mark), Blayne Clements (Kim) and Matthew Clements (Melissa). Her great grandchildren: Noah Norfleet, Cassie Norfleet, Hayley Norfleet (Fiancé Miguel De Jesus), Lauren Bischoff (Don), Adam Mayo, Matthew Mayo, Wilson Lovinski, Grace Lovinski, Maxwell Lovinski, Madeline Clements, Mikayla Lawler, Elias Clements, Mason Clements and Briar Clements.
Survived by brothers Clarence Wallace and Samuel Wallace and sister Maxine Wofford. Preceded in death by brothers: Joseph Wallace, Columbus Wallace, Jr, Morris Wallace. And sisters: Verdie Mae Atkins, Ilene Russell, and Marie Steele.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and family.
Services will be at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, Nov 10 from 4-8pm and Friday, Nov 11 from 1pm until the time of service at 2pm. The Revs. Jerry Shelton and Samuel Wallace will officiate. Mrs. Simpson will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery.
