Our beloved sister and aunt, Ramie Elizabeth `Cricket` Armstrong, Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at the home of her great niece Sandra Halstead, with loving family by her side. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Jerry Harwell officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the hour of service Sunday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was a life member of New Providence Baptist Church. Her love of family, children, and friends are legend. She was a life long resident of Clarksville, born October 1, 1922 to James Wilson and Amanda Lee Mohon. Mrs. Armstrong is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of over fifty years, Roy Armstrong, brothers James Acre, Joda Wilson, Clifton Lee, James Hedrick, and Russell Mohon, all of Clarksville, sisters Margaret "Maggie" Mosley of Clarksville, and Nellie May Mohon of Florida, nieces Geraldine Mohon and Ellen Orzolick, and nephews Richard and Jackie Mohon. Mrs. Armstrong is survived by her sister Nettie Stegman and niece Bonnie Westhoff (Mrs. Andy Westhoff) of Ashboro, North Carolina. Also, nieces Betty Morrison, Nell "Louise" Olmsted, Joan Hovey, Faye Shanks, Mary Thomas, Frances Mohon, Linda DelGiorno, Peggy Smith, Tammy Ambrose, Amanda Beck, and Ann Mohon; nephews "Jimmy" Mosley, Charles Mosley, Walter Mosley, Kenneth Mosley, Felton Mohon, Russell Westhoff, Bobby Mohon, Michael Mohon, Freddy Mohon, Jeff Mohon, Mark Mohon, Tim Mohon, Roy Mohon, and Jim Mohon. Additionally, she has a great plentitude of Great and Great-Great nieces and nephews and loving sister-in-laws Betty Mohon and Mavis Mohon. Known as Cricket/Chi Chi, she had a life long hand on relationships with her family and friends. She loved well and took her roll in their lives seriously. We, her family, write this in loving memory of a unique woman. Pallbearers will be Brian DelGiorno, Matthew DelGiorno, Bob DelGiorno, Jeff Mohon, Dustin Halstead, Brandon Ambrose, Hunter Ambrose, and Russell Westhoff. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gateway Hospice, American Diabetes Association, or the American Heart Association.
