Petty Officer First Class (R) Michael Martin Deharde, age 70 of Tennessee Ridge, TN, passed from this life on August 1, 2023 at his home.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Nave Funeral Home with Rabbi Quentin Brooks and Rev. Charles Thornberg officiating. He will be laid to rest in French Cemetery with full military honors.

Family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Saturday from 12:00 pm until the time of service at the Funeral Home.

Michael entered this life on August 27, 1952 in Okinawa, Japan, to the late Edgar Anton Deharde and Rita O’Conner Deharde.

He served 20 years in the Navy before retiring and worked for the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office before retiring from there as well. Michael and his wife were also members of the local American Legion in Tennessee Ridge.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his dear son; Michael Deharde Jr., and one brother; Edgar Alan Deharde (Judy Cole).

Survivors include his loving wife, Gailrena Deharde; children, Glenn Scott, Melinda Deharde; grandson, Braedon William Deharde; siblings, Dr. John Robert Deharde (Barbara Winters), Donald Charles Deharde (Richelle), Rose Pulley (Ernest), and Helen Claire Hargrove (James).
