James “Pete” Kelly, age 63, of Cumberland City, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 surrounded by friends and family. The family will receive friends for visitation at Nave Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 8:00pm on Sunday evening and again on Monday morning from 10:00 am until the hour of service. His service will be at 1:00 pm on Monday at the chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Brother Justin Warren officiating. He will be laid to rest at Moore Cemetery following the service.
He was born in Clarksville, Tennessee on November 24, 1954 to Ernest Bud Kelly and Ocie Jane Dilley Kelly. He was a Horse trainer by trade, and he also loved farming and working with cows as well as coon hunting. James attended Griffins Chapel Church of the Nazarene. Mr. Kelly leaves behind his loving mother Ocie Jane Kelly, His daughter Heather Bogenschatz and grandson’s Austin and LeeLan. He also leaves behind his loving siblings; Mary Moore (Johnny), Debbie Hill (Eddie), Ernest Kelly J.R. (Wanda), Sue Travis (Mike), Sarah Tuck (Allan), Edna Nichols (James), and Dora Aldred (Chris). He was preceded in death by his loving father Ernest Kelly.
Serving as Pall-bearers will be Ken Travis, Michael Travis, Jeremey Travis, Justin Aldred, Bradley Aldred, Adam Nichols, and Matt Kelly. James Kelly is in the care of Nave Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at navefuneralhomes.com .
