Pearlene Brooks passed away Thursday January 10, 2013 at Signature Health Care. She was born February 22, 1914 in Houston County, TN. She was the daughter of the late Joe Bailey and Lela Felts Bailey. Mrs. Brooks was a member of Cedar Valley United Methodist Church, and the FCE Club of Houston County. Pearlene could always be counted on to respond to the needs of the community by providing meals and support to those in need. She was an avid gardener, homemaker and loving mother. Her favorite moments were spent sitting on the front porch with family and friends. Pearlene was preceded in death by her husband Jack Morgan
(John) Brooks and Brothers Osteen Bailey, J.R. Bailey, Raymond Bailey, Edward Bailey, Lucian Bailey, Luther Bailey and one grandchild Kyle Breeden. Survivors include two sons Archie Brooks of Erin, TN. Robert Brooks of Greeneville, TN. three daughters Shirley Patterson of Erin, TN. Orene Breeden of Brentwood, TN. Sara Owens of Williamsport, TN. three brothers Garner Bailey, Howard Bailey, Lester Bailey all of Erin, TN. one sister Lillie Mae Breeden of Dickson, TN. seven grandchildren, Leslie Riley, Tamera Brooks, Michele Breeden, Keith Breeden, Kevin Spurgeon, Reggie Spurgeon, Jon Brooks, nine great grandchildren Lesley Lyle, Cole Spurgeon, Blake Breeden, Chelsea Spurgeon, Grayson Breeden, Taylor Basey, Ashley Spurgeon, McKinzey Spurgeon, Carson Spurgeon and two great great grandchildren Camdyn Lyle, Carter
Lyle. Pallbearers will be Leslie Riley, Kevin Spurgeon, Reggie Spurgeon, Jon Brooks, Keith Breeden, and Truman Brooks. Honorary pallbearers will be Tamara Brooks, Michele
Breeden, Gary Brooks, Kathy Weatherspoon, Dr. Michael Carter, Becky Raglan, and Wilton Rye.
