Pauline Stokes Mitchell, 92, Clarksville, died Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Montgomery Care and Rehab Center. A celebration of her life will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Terrell Marcom officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Hopkinsville, KY. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Mitchell was born October 8, 1918 in Elkton, KY and was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Hallie Lynch Stokes; husband, James Mitchell; siblings, Thelma Mitchell, Christine Wilyard, Nelson Stokes, William Stokes, Mary Moore, Louise Lisenby; and her grandson, Barry Meacham. She was a homemaker and of the Christian Faith. Survivors include her son, Robert Lewis (Jane) Meacham, Culleoka, TN; daughter, Libby (Leonard) McElmurry, Corona, CA; siblings, Ocie Clark, Ruth Hurt, Nello Rose, Geneva Lang, Jo Hart and Shirley Lack; grandchildren, Steve (Elaine) Meacham, Dale (Donna) Meacham, Cyndi (Luke) Tucker, Gary (Patti) McElmurry, Sherri (Andy) Gauderman; seventeen great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; and special friends and caregivers, Doris and Larry Yates, who took such loving care of our mother. Pallbearers will be Greg Clark, Dale Meacham, Gary McElmurry, Andy Gauderman, Larry Yates, Steve Meacham and Billy Lang.
