CW4 Paul O'Farrell, age 46, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at his home, while surrounded by his loving family.
A Memorial Ceremony was held at Liberty Chapel, 3111 Bastogne Ave, Ft. Campbell, KY at 1300 on Thursday, November 16, 2023.
Burial will be 1 p.m., on Friday, December 15, 2023 at The National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. An Irish wake will follow.
CW4 Paul O’Farrell was an accomplished chef, pilot and civilian flight instructor before deciding on a military career at 30. He honorably served our Nation for over 15 years and deployed seven times in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Inherent Resolve.
His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal with Valor, Army Commendation (3 Oak Leaf Clusters), the Combat Action Badge, and the Army Aviator Badge. He was also awarded the Order of St. Michael for his professional expertise and outstanding service to the aviation community.
Paul was greeted upon passing by his grandparents Jim and Mary O’Farrell and Walt and Elva Shahan; His cousin Matt O’Farrell, Aunt Carol Constantino, and Brother-in-law Richie Tovar.
He is waiting in heaven for his wife, Mary; his children Declan, Saffron, Astrid and Zachary; his mother Marty, father Jim, sister Shannon and brother Shay.
Pie Jesu domine, dona eis requiem.
Merciful Lord Jesus, grant them rest.
