Paul McWhorter

Paul Clyde McWhorter, age 85, of Clarksville, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2018 at Gum Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Steven Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow at Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The McWhorter family will receive friends on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home and on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 12 p.m. until the hour of service at the church.
Paul entered into this life on January 7, 1933 in Montgomery County, TN son of the late Jake and Rebecca Bryant McWhorter. He was a graduate of Montgomery Central High School and worked as an Energy Plant Operator at Ft. Campbell. Paul is a Veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the Korean conflict. Paul was also a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his daughter, Alison McWhorter.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Coleman Shaffer McWhorter; daughter, YeVette McWhorter Howard; daughters by marriage, Deborah Hammerstein, and Nicole Jackson; sons by marriage, David Shaffer, and James Shaffer, eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
