L.T.C.(Ret. U.S. Army) Paul Brown Lyle, 87, Cumberland City, died Thursday, August 28, 2008, in Nashville.The funeral will be held at 11:00am Monday at Erin United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Wallace and Rev. Harreit Harris officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Visitation will be from 5pm till 8pm Sunday at Nave Funeral Home Chapel and from 10am till service time Monday at Erin United Methodist Church. Nave Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born August 14, 1921 in Montgomery County, Tn. Son of the late Herman Clay Lyle and Susie Irene Lewis. He his preceded in death by his wife Eloise Smith Lyle. LTC Paul Lyle served our country with the U.S. Army for over 26 years and was a veteran of WWII. Also a member of Erin United Methodist Church, Erin Rotary Club, Golden Agers, V.F.W and American Legion Post 73.He was a Former Montgomery County Executive, and Purchasing and Budget Director for Montgomery County. Survivors include his Daughter Paula Jones of Cumberland City, Tn. two grandchildren Jennifer Oosse of Clarksville, Tn., Kimberly Jones Allensworth of Adams, Tn. two brothers Billy Joe Lyle of Memphis, Tn., Kenneth Lyle of Erin, Tn. and one sister Keith Adkins of Clarksville, Tn.
