Paul Deering

November 9, 1927 — July 7, 2021

Paul W. Deering, Sr., age 93 of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. Terrell Marcom officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

Paul entered this life on November 9, 1927 in Luzerne, Kentucky to the late James and Ella Eison Deering. He was retired from AT&T / Teletype, where he was a welder and machinist. He was also a Mason, and former member of Lakeshore Baptist Church in Chicago, IL. There he served as a Sunday School Director and Teacher, Deacon, and Training Union Director. He currently attended and enjoyed fellowship at Excell Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances “Pat” Deering.

Survivors include his children, Paul Deering Jr., Glenn Deering, David Deering, Gregory Deering, Steven Deering, Patricia Fuller, and Regina LaRocco; sister, Bonnie Shaw, nineteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and many fond nieces and nephews.
