Patricia Basner

Patricia D. Basner, age 82 passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Tennova Healthcare.
Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. Monday, November 1, 2021 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. with a Rosary Service held at 7 p.m. and again on Monday from 12 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Basner was born in Bay City, Michigan to the late James and Helen Degg. She was a retired Certified Nurse Technician and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Patricia was also a life member of “DAV”, 11th Airborne Angelettes, a member of “Gold Star Wives”, member of VFW 4895 and a member with unit 233 American Legion Auxiliary Chaplain. She had also served as the assistant Chaplain to American Legion Riders Post 233, and past 2nd District Chaplain in Kentucky American Legion.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Israel W. Basner.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary Ann Basner and Ashley Basner Glass (Michael);son, Jimmy (Pamela) Degg; granddaughter, Patricia Roberts (Teddy); grandson, Christopher; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Kaitlyn, Jason, Lillian, Margaret, and Annelise.
American Legion Riders, Post 233 will serve as pallbearers.
