Captain (Ret) Marjorie Pamela Mason Wynn, age 63, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at her home in Clarksville, Tennessee.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Full Air Force Honors will be rendered. Pamela will be laid to rest at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.
She was born on August 6, 1952 in Fort Worth, Texas to Kenneth Edward Mason and Geraldine Pace Mason and was preceded in death by her father, maternal grandparents, F.C. and Noble Pace and her paternal grandparents, Melvin and Pearl Mason.
Pamela was a graduate of the 1990 Class at Mercer University and had an incredible military career which began with the Air National Guard, the Air Force Reserves. In 1987, she was recognized as Outstanding Airman of the Year and rose from the rank of Airman to E8 before going on to Officer's Candidate School. Upon completion, she exited OCS as a 2nd Lieutenant and eventually retired from the USAF in 1999 with the rank of Captain.
As a former Travis Co. Sheriff's Officer, Pamela had a heart for service. She was an advocate for abused children and reared many foster children over the years. She served as President of People Against Violent Crimes in Austin, Texas as well as the Tennessee Assistant State Ride Captain at Patriot Guard Riders, Inc.
She is survived by her daughter, Tiffany Laurel (Danchik) Davlin and husband David of Midlothian, Texas, twin sons, Kelly Edward Pickle and wife Danielle of Gambrills, Maryland and Jeffrey Mason Pickle and wife Anna of Waco, Texas, and her youngest son Joseph Michael Shadeaux Wynn and wife Crystal of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, her mother, Geraldine Pace Mason of Jefferson, Texas, brother, Kelly Edwin Mason and wife Kim of Mineola, Texas, and sister, Paula Jeane Mason Powers of Houston, Texas. She was the loving grandmother to twelve grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Patriot Guard Riders in the care of Annette Robeck at 133 Cherokee Ct. Antioch, TN 37013.
Pamela had an impact on the lives of so many and likely never realized just how many people loved and respected her.
