Oscar Roberto Gonzales, Sr., age 86, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023, at Tennova Healthcare.
Celebration of Life will be held 10 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2023, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. Burial and Military Honors will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on Friday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Rosary Service will be held on Thursday at 6 p.m.
Oscar entered this life on May 2, 1936, in El Paso, TX to the late Rafael and Mazdalena Gonzales. He was a parishioner of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Oscar was a retired Vietnam Veteran having served with the 101st Airborne. After 23 years of dedicated service to his country, he spent over 40 years working for Civil Service at Ft. Campbell, Ky.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Gonzales and two brothers.
Survivors include his sons, Oscar R. Gonzales, Jr., and his wife, Tavie, Albert Gonzales, and Michael Robinson; stepchildren, Vivian Harding, Vaneice Haddock, and Clark Reed; 11 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
