Orville Lee James, 66, Clarksville, died Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at St.Thomas Hospital, Nashville. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Antioch United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Welchance and Rev. Ben Falls officiating. Burial will be in Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Friday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the church. He was born December 13, 1943 in Montgomery County and was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Ada Lee Carpenter James; and his sister, Nancy Walker. Over the years Mr. James was employed by several Heating, Air and Electrical Maintenance Companies and retired as the head of Building Maintenance for the City of Clarksville. He also owned his own Heating, Air & Electrical Business. He was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church and the Independant Order of the Odd Fellows Pythagoras #23. Orville loves his family and friends, Nascar Racing, Demolition Derbys, hardwork, music and the Lord. He is survived by his wife, Jannie Yarbrough James, Clarksville; son, Matt (Melissa) James, Clarksville; daughter, Karen James Herndon, Clarksville; brothers, Bobby James, Dover, Carl James, Clarksville; grandchildren, Brandon, Paul, Abbylyn, Cody, Amy and Bruce. Pallbearers will be Mike Papke, Wayne Tue, Jeff Haynes, Allen Walker, Carl Edwards, Eddie Joe James, Tommy Jerles, Dave Mixon, Tom Duncheskie, Howdy Jones and Ernie Carpenter. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Odd Fellows.
