Omie Jean Coffelt, age 82 of Erin, TN, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family and loved ones.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Larry DePriest officiating. Burial will follow in the Coffelt Memorial Church Cemetery.
The Coffelt family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday afternoon. 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Omie Jean was the daughter of the late Veatrice and Woodrow Walker. She entered this life on December 11, 1939 in Erin, TN. Siblings include, June Coffelt and the late Charles Lovelady. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Thomas Coffelt. They were married October 18, 1956 in Houston County, TN, where they lived and raised their two children, James Wilson Elmore Coffelt (Tina), and Misty Dawn Coffelt McMeekin (James) both of Erin. She was Granny to three grandchildren, Tasha Boone (Shawn), James Blas Coffelt, and Jeanine “Jaleen” Reasons; 9 great-grandchildren, Rebekkah, Gracelyn, Kensley, Dillan, Jakelyn, Leighton, Sean, Patrick, and Gabriel.
Omie Jean touched many lives in the course of her 82 years on this earth. She was an established cosmetologist for 50 years in the community and the owner/operator of Erin Beauty Salon. She was a faithful member of Eagle Loop House of Prayer, where she worked along side of her husband in his ministry. She was not only a devoted wife and mother, but she was an amazing friend. She lived a life that honored God and she leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Perrigo, DeWayne Perrigo, Dillan Boone, Sean Imbush, Patrick Pulliam, Cary Largent, John Paul “Ox” and Derek Jones.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Bass, Sammy Lovelady, Brandon Brooks, Phillip Lovelady, Billy Bass, and Trey Sensing.
