Odis Roosevelt Shelton, 76, of Southside, TN, went to be with Jesus September 16, 2011 at Horizon Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday September 19 at 7pm at McReynolds Nave and Larson Funeral Chapel with Revs. Bill Graham and James Green officiating. Visitation will be Monday 4pm until the time of service. Mr. Shelton was born March 4, 1935 in North Carolina, son of the late Cletta Mae Sneed and Jesse Otis Shelton. he was preceded in death by his daughter Patricia Ann Bryson. Mr. Shelton was a Baptist and a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years Mary Sue Weeks Shelton; sons, Timothy Wayne Shelton, David Roosevelt Shelton, and Thomas Edward Shelton; daughters, Wanda Faye Benge and Paula Kay Clobes; his sister, Edna Mae Newsome of Summerfield, NC; best friend and cousin Benny Shelton of Madison, NC; and grandchildren, Randy Bryson Jr, Chris Bryson, Jeff Shelton, Jennifer Shelton, Leslie Simmons, Chevelle Johnson, Chris Clobes, and Joseph Harvey.
