Norman Word - 1933 Norman Amos Word, 77, Stewart,Tn., died Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at Centennial Medical Center. A celebration of life service will be held at 11am Saturday at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby Kail and Bro. William Gray officiating. Burial will be in Hudson Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be from 3:00pm until 8pm Thursday and from 11am until 6pm Friday at the funeral home. Nave Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Norman was born December 6, 1933 in Stewart County,Tn. son of the late Homer Word and Mannie Parker.Norman was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Ann Ferrell Word. Norman was a US Navy Veteran. He retired as a Field Auditor for Kerr-McGee Chemical Corp. Survivors include two daughters Lezlie (Richard) Word Tyson of Clarksville,Tn.Ginger Word Wilson of Greenbrier,Tn.one brother Jimmy Parker of Dickson,Tn. Pallbearers will be Ben Ferrell, Howard Day, Eddie Parker, Joey Crutcher, Greg Tyson, Carl Wesley Cottrell, Eddie Cottrell, Steve Douglass, Jerry Cunningham, Chuckie Ferrell.Honorary pallbeaers will be George Powell, Eddie Holly, Ted Hudson.
