Norma Willingham, age 86, of Alpharetta passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021 after a brief illness. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She graduated from Trion High School in 1953. She worked at the (then) Lockheed Georgia Company as a secretary in Flight Test and Experimental Engineering for 35 years before retiring. After retirement, she moved to Erin, Tennessee. After the death of her husband, she returned to Georgia to be close to family.
Norma is survived by her children, Brian R. Willingham, Clyde R. (Rusty) Willingham, Billie F. Willingham Jr. (Joy), Joyce Van Meel (Paul); grandchildren, Andrew Willingham (Brittany), Adam Willingham (Alyssa), Alex Willingham, Tara Willingham Rogers (Christian), Amy Nichole Willingham, Billie Willingham Walker (Devin); sister, Maxine Blevins of Phoenix, Arizona. Numerous nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie F. Willingham Sr.; son, Leslie Keith Willingham; parents, E. C. and Gertrude Maples; sisters, Joyce Brady, Roxie Green, and Audrey Butler.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 2, 2021 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery in Erin, Tennessee.
The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
