Norma (Cooki) Akins

Norma Jean (Cooki) Akins, age 74, went to be with her Lord Jesus on Sat., May 6, 2017.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Louie Montoya and Rev. Gary Akins officiating. Burial will follow in the Lone Oak Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Cooki entered into this life on November 20, 1942 in Kankakee, Illinois, daughter of the late Earl and Marie Brorsen, and also preceded in death by her daughter who passed at birth, Delma Marie Akins; and her sister, Peggy Meents. She was a member of the First Assembly of God, Clarksville.
Survivors include her devoted husband, Stephen Akins, Sr.; son, Stephen Akins, Jr. (Nyra Jo); brothers, Donald Brorsen and Andy Brorsen; and sisters, June Johnson and Nancy Hanes. Pallbearers will be Dalton Akins, Butch Akins, Mike Akiins, Gary Akins and Scott Steinsultz.
