Nelson Crull Weller, age 92, passed away Monday, December 14, 2015 at his home in Pleasant View, Tennessee.
Nelson entered into this life on September 13, 1923 in Kennedy's Valley, Pennsylvania to parents Samuel and Gertrude Crull Weller. As a young man, Nelson entered into the U.S. Army at the height of WWII and bravely served to the war's end. He served 18 months on Ascension Island in the South Atlantic and was the recipient of the European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon, the American Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal. Nelson was self-employed, having owned and operated a full-service automobile service station for some forty years. Additionally, he was a member of the VFW and the Nance Co. Gun Club (Nebraska) and thoroughly enjoyed hunting, fishing, bird watching, gardening, and reading.
Nelson was preceded in death by his wife, Goldie Supencheck Weller. He is survived by his children, Jack Weller, Randy Weller, Teri Weller Sullivan, and Shawn Weller; ten step children; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
