Nancy Lane

Nancy passed away Friday, April 19 in Clarksville, TN after a 7-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born October 4, 1940, in Muncie, IN, the daughter of Harold and Florence Rita (Bartlett) Rahe. Nancy graduated from Muncie Central in 1958 and worked as an office manager and secretary for Marhoefer Packing Company, Northwestern Mutual Life, and Schlitt Services before retiring in 2009.

Nancy is survived by her children John (Bea) Lane - Lausanne, Switzerland, Chrissy (Jeff) Bright - Clarksville, TN, Kerry (Dawn Raine) Lane - Colorado Springs, CO, Ben (Cher) Lane - Omaha, NE. Grandchildren Stephanie (Jason Parks) Paul, Noemie Lane, Christopher Lane, Jory Lane, Ben Jacob Lane, Kooper Lane. Great granddaughter Stella Florence Paul and 2 bonus great-grandchildren Brady and Charlotte Parks. Siblings Theresia (Don) Riddle, Ruth (Bob) Odle, Mary Beth (Dave) Benbow, Harold (Mary) Rahe.

Her parents, sister Cathy Garrett, sister Peggy Leep, and brother-in-law Charles Garrett preceded her in death.

Nancy was known for her contagious laugh and enjoyed giggling with her siblings, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved the Muncie Central Bearcats, working puzzles, and having lots of photographs of her family hanging in her home to enjoy.

Services will be handled by Meeks Mortuary in Muncie, IN date and time to be announced.
