Nancy Rebecca Holloman Johnson, 85, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012 at her home in Clarksville.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Chaplain Rob Courtney officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Committal and burial will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, December 21 at Forest Hills Cemetery in Farmville, NC.
Nancy was born December 26, 1926 in Farmville, NC, daughter of James Albert Holloman and Addie Galloway Holloman. Nancy was a homemaker and a member of Madison Street United Methodist Church. She was also once active in the Jaycetts, the Elegante Club, and various Bridge Clubs.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children, Rufus S. Johnson III and wife Elaina of Clarksville, Nancy Rue Jenkins of High Point, NC, Linda J. Garrison and husband Bob of Enterprise, AL, and Carol Ann Spence of Moultrie, GA; and siblings Gid Holloman and JoAnn Rock, both of Farmville, NC. She was the proud grandmother of Benjamin Jenkins, Katie Kitchen, Abby Binkley, Slayden Johnson, Burt Spence, Jr., Rebecca Borchard, inherited grandchildren, Morgan, Ava, and Vanders, and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
The Johnson family would like to extend their loving gratitude to Nancy's caregivers for their superlative care and attention throughout her extended illness.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Gateway Hospice, the Clarksville-Montgomery Co. Education Fund, or another charity of one's choice.
