Nancy Elizabeth (Clay) Collins, 97, of Clarksville, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at her residence.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Dr. Ted Denny officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Monday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Nancy was born November 5, 1918 at Fourmile in Lincoln County, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Minnie Belle Parsons and Jake Leolen Clay. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Emanuel Collins and Edsel Armentrout; daughter, Jewell A. Edmondson; and granddaughter, Melissa A. Edmondson.
Nancy worked at Clarksville Memorial Hospital from 1982-1985. She attended church at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Logan, West Virginia, First Assembly of God in Clarksville, Ajax Turner Senior Citizens Center in Clarksville.
Survivors include children, Paul E. (Donna) Collins of Clarksville, Lois J. Smith of Clarksville, Billy J. (Linda) Collins of Griffin, GA, Nancy J. Flake of Pleasant Grove, UT, Shane “Eddie” Armentrout, Clarksville, Debbie L. Armentrout, Manchester, TN; 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mark Zellers, Derrick Edmondson, Darrell Edmondson, Darren Baldwin, Rob Harrell, and Michael Madaris.
