Nadine Barnes, age 82, of Palmyra, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 while at Skyline Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, October 30, 2017 at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Ted Denny and Rev. Dennis Pulley officiating. Burial will follow Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The Barnes family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
Nadine entered into this life on May 15, 1935 in Butler, Georgia and was a graduate of Central High School, Jackson, Mississippi, and had attended Blue Mountain College. She was retired from a career in the shipping industry where she worked as a Secretary. Nadine was a member of Legacy Baptist Church.
Nadine is survived by her husband, the Rev. Douglas J. Barnes; children, Doug J. Barnes III (Bev) and Lou Anne Krass (Ed); and her beloved grandchildren, Bryan Krass and Becki Barnes.
Pallbearers will be Frank Reynolds, Chris Stone, Chad Denton, Jim Webster, Chuck Denton, and Robert Girndt.
Memorial contributions are preferred to Legacy Baptist Church, 108 Wilson Hollow, Indian Mound, TN 37079. Condolences may be made at NaveFuneralHomes.com.
