Myrtle Horn - 1920 Myrtle Alline Gafford Horn, 89, Formerly of Erin, died Wednesday, October 14,2009, at Ben Atchley State Veterans Home in Knoxville,Tn.after a long life and short illness. Graveside services will be held at 1pm Saturday with Rev.Robert Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pm till 8pm Friday at the funeral home and from 11am till noon Saturday at the funeral home. Nave Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A native of Erin,Tennessee,Mrs.Horn was born September 23,1920.She was the oldest daughter of William Shelton Gafford and Mollie Etta Powers Gafford.A homemaker for most of her life,she worked to support the war effort in Detroit,Michigan during World War II. Mrs.Horn was the widow of James T.Horn,a World War II U.S.Navy veteran,who died in 1982.She is survived by two sons,James K.Horn of Cambridge,Massachusetts and Bobby N.Horn of Erin,Tennessee.Mrs Horn has two surviving sisters,Dorothy Lancaster of Clarksville,Tennessee and Violet Bailey of Erin,Tennessee
