Myrtle Greene

Myrtle Ida Greene, age 93, of Cumberland Furnace, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 17, 2022.
Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Rev. David Mackens officiating. Burial will follow at Greene Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Myrtle entered this life on January 29, 1929, in Montgomery County, TN to the late Charlie and Jewel Bailey Schmittou. She was employed for Boot-Ster and worked in the cafeteria at Montgomery Central.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Greene, and siblings, James Schmittou, J.D. Schmittou, Anderson Schmittou, and Claudell Ludwig.
Survivors include her daughters, Donna (Jimmy) Young, and Brenda Edlin; grandchildren, Sheri (Steve) Phillips, Lorie (Chris) Taylor, and Sam (Melody) Young; great-grandchildren, Tyler Phillips, Garrett Taylor, Preslee Taylor, Avery Young, Oaklee Young, and Hattie Young; sisters, Shirley Robertson, and Virginia (Lou) Rittenberry.
Pallbearers will be Les Paul Greene, Phil Lachowicz, Ronnie Greene, Dwight Greene, Randy Schmittou, Frank Crotzer, Jr., Eddie Burchett, Jimmy Greene, and Larry Greene.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
