Myrtle Gibson

Myrtle M. Gibson, 84, Clarksville, died Tuesday, January 6, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel with Rev. Larry Robertson & Rev. Clarence Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home.
McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born August 25, 1924 in Pittsburg, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin F. White and Isabelle Crehan White; and her husband, Tyler Wilson "Tip" Gibson. Mrs. Gibson was a Lutheran, a member of American Legion Post #233 Auxillary, VFW #4895 Auxillary, 11th Airborne Assoc., 187th Assoc., Veterans Van Service and Meals-On-Wheels. Survivors include her sons, Gene (Pat) Gibson, Clarksville, Larry (Diane) Gibson, Nettleton, MS, Jim (Joyce) Gibson, Clarksville, Rick (Cindy) Gibson, White Springs, FL, Mark (Debbie) Gibson, Columbia City, OR, Tim (Susan) Gibson, Chipley, FL, and Glenn (Pam) Gibson, Rolla, MO. Pallbearers will be H.B. Westerman, LTC Stephen T. Gibson, TSGT Jason S. Gibson, Tyler J. Gibson, Charles Gibson and ROTC Cory J. Gibson.
