Myra Shelby

Myra Lucille Shelby, of Woodlawn, passed away at the age of 81 on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 while at Walking Horse Meadows Assisted Living.
The Shelby family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery.
Myra entered into this life on March 20, 1936 in Montgomery County to the late William Arthur and Mildred Riggins Smith. She was a life long member of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She also served as the church treasurer for many years and was a member of the Laity Club. Myra also enjoyed cooking and gardening.
In addition to her parents Myra was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Julius Shelby, and her brother, Billy Smith. Survivors include her sons, James "Rickey" Shelby and Brian S. Shelby and his wife Lori; three nieces and one nephew.
Pallbearers will be Rickey Shelby, Brian Shelby, Brandon Rippy, Brandon Wallace, Paul Trice, and Patrick Wallace.
